Glass micro burette, also known as rubber cap burette, is an instrument used to absorb or add small amounts of liquid reagents. The rubber head dropper consists of a rubber cap and a glass tube. There are several forms, including straight, straight with buffer balls, and curved with buffer balls. The specifications of rubber tipped droppers are expressed in terms of tube length, commonly used as 90mm or 100mm2. Each drop of the rubber tip dropper is 0.05ml.
Precautions for glass micro burette:
When adding, the dropper should be kept perpendicular to the top of the container, avoiding tilting, never upside down, and should not extend into the interior of the container or touch the container wall. Except for absorbing the solution, the tip of the tube should not come into contact with other objects to avoid contamination by impurities. It cannot be used in two ways.
The ordinary dropper needs to be cleaned after use, while the specialized dropper cannot be cleaned. It needs to be used exclusively and can be replaced with the original reagent bottle after use.
When using, do not use only your thumb and index finger to pinch, use your middle and ring fingers to grip.
Method of using glass micropipette:
1. When using a dropper, pinch the rubber nipple with your fingers to expel the air from the dropper. Then, insert the dropper into the reagent bottle, release your fingers, and the reagent will be inhaled.
2. After taking the liquid, the dropper should keep the rubber head above, and should not be placed flat or upside down to prevent the solution from flowing back and corroding the rubber head.
3. When adding liquid, it should be suspended above the beaker and not touch the beaker wall to avoid staining the dropper or causing reagent contamination.
4. Do not place the dropper on the test bench or other places to prevent contamination of the dropper.
5. The used dropper should be immediately rinsed with clean water for reuse.
6. It is strictly prohibited to use an uncleaned dropper to absorb other reagents (do not rinse the dropper on the dropper bottle with water).
